ONLINE DEFENSIVE DRIVING IN DALLAS
Did you get a ticket in Dallas and need to take a defensive driving course? Our Internet courses are approved for ticket dismissal and
insurance discount by the
Texas Education Agency (TEA).
COURSE DETAILS
The Traffic101.com defensive driving course for Texas is a 6-hour course as required by the TEA. It is separated
into 4 sections and has a simple 10-question ungraded quiz at the end of each section. These quizzes do not count
towards your final score. Instead they prepare you for the required final exam. You must score at least 80% on
the final exam in order to pass. If you don’t pass on your first try, you have two more opportunities to take
the final exam at no additional cost. In the unlikely event that you fail the final exam three times, the TEA
requires that you register for and retake the course from the beginning.

COURSE ELIGIBILITY
You can take a defensive driving course once every 12 months to have a ticket dismissed. You may not take more than
one Driving Safety Course per year for any court in Texas for a ticket dismissal. However, if one of the violations
for which you were cited is for not having a child safety seat or not having a child properly in the seat, you may be
eligible to take a Child Seat Belt Safety Course in addition to the DSC. By taking the course, you do not have to pay
for the traffic ticket fine. If you have a commercial driver’s license or the ticket was for speeding 25 mph above
the posted limit, you are NOT eligible to take a defensive driving course.
